Sodium polyacrylate is a high molecular compound with hydrophilic group, white powder, odourless, tasteless.Slowly dissolve in water to form very thick transparent solution, 0.5% solution viscosity is about 1000 cp, unlike its viscosity CMC and sodium alginate as swell, but due to many anion ion phenomenon make the molecules in a molecular chain growth, apparent viscosity increases and the formation of high viscosity solution.Its viscosity is 15 to 20 times than sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and sodium alginate , good alkali resistance, long little viscosity change, is not easy to corruption, is an indispensable quality improver on rice and flour products.
